Propriedades analgésica e antiácida do tramadol intramuscular aplicado antes de cesárea - British Journal of Anaesthesia 2005; 95(6):811-815

O tramadol intramuscular (IM) aumenta o pH gástrico durante a anestesia, assim como a famotidina. Com o objetivo de investigar o papel de antiácido de uma dose única de tramadol IM, aplicada uma hora antes de cesárea realizada sob anestesia geral, Elhakim e colaboradores, da Universidade Ain-Sham, Egito, realizaram estudo publicado recentemente.

Sessenta pacientes, com classificação ASA I, que seriam submetidas à cesárea eletiva foram incluídas nesse estudo randomizado e duplo-cego. As pacientes foram randomizadas para receber uma dose de 100mg de tramadol IM (n=30) ou famotidina 20mg (n=30), uma hora antes da anestesia.

No início e ao final da anestesia, as pacientes que receberam tramadol apresentaram pH médio do fluido gástrico de 6,4, o qual não foi diferente estatisticamente do valor observado nas que receberam a famotidina...
